The Naruto Manga chapter 397 which is entitled “The Man Who Knows The Truth” is something more interesting the few previous chapters. Well, it’s actually talking about Uchiha Madara, the accomplice of Uchiha Itachi in killing all the members of the Uchiha Clan.
Uchiha Madara is actually talking lies about Itachi here. I don’t know why he did this. I know he’s not already interested of the eyes of Sasuke because his Mangekyu is already a forever-Mangekyu. But maybe this is his way of letting Sasuke trust him and probably recruit Sasuke to join the fold in Akatsuki.
Lies?
Well, one of the lies that Uchiha Madara told Sasuke is about the Amaterasu. He told Sasuke that Itachi used a Jutsu before he died to Sasuke that would be activated by the use of Uchiha Madara’s own Sharingan, it said, to protect Sasuke from him.
But when I checked again the Naruto Manga 397, from its beginning to the end, I found out that what burned Madara was the Amaterasu of Sasuke’s owned Mangegkyu Sharingan.
Of course, Sasuke didn’t notice it yet. But I know that that Amaterasu jutsu was coming from Sasuke.

Interesting… however, as far as I know, Amaterasu is Itachi’s own jutsu. And it’s quite odd that it instantly activated when Tobi tried coming near Sasuke. Yes, the Amaterasu was coming from Sasuke but isn’t that quite weird that Sasuke suddenly has it, and that technique is Itachi’s own. Madara could be telling the truth about Itachi. You know, the wanting to protect Sasuke thing. As we can see in this chapter, Madara is unable to come near Sasuke because the Amaterasu suddenly activates.
What puzzles me though is that, if Madara had known that Itachi wanted to kill him, why did he not slay Itachi then, especially it has been revealed that Tobi is the man behind Akatsuki

i am convince that itachi really want to protect sasuke, i remember when itachi said to sasuke that sasuke must surpass itachi even if it needs to sasuke to hate itachi just to surpass itachi’s power

I am very curious, to know which part “Madara” is gonna play in all this, and what itachi real intenttion were for his litte brother sasuke, by the way nobody really know tobi identity other then akatsuki’s pain an his righthand papergirl, not even the rest of akatsuki know his real identity.

Before Itachi died, he put in all his eye techniques into Sasuke when he touched his forehead. And he set it such that, the sight of Madara’s sharingan would activate the Amaterasu ability he put in Sasuke. That’s why he didn’t understand anything that was happening.
BrownDK I can’t say exactly the chapter Itachi said that, but I saw it in the anime when they were fighting in Jiraiya’s frog’s belly. And also immediately after Itachi killed his clan, he told Sasuke.

I’m still amazed about the story of itachi who after all protecting konoha. I guess he’s the spy of jiraiya to akatsuki as well.
I understand now why itachi made sasuke to hate him. He wanted to transfer his powers to sasuke I think.
Since sasuke killed his brother, that automatically activates mangekyu sharingan.
The true intent of madara is still a mystery. he was living for a while after all without making any move against konoha

I don’t think that Madara is lying in anyway. If you noticed, he was quite shocked when Amaterasu was suddenly activated. Frankly, it makes more sense to believe that Madara is telling the truth. One requisite for having a Mangekyu is to kill the person closest to you. Sasuke has limited friends, much less close to him. Count Naruto in, but he’s still alive, so he’s not the sacrificial lamb here. The point is, if Madara is true to his words, more or less Sasuke might have acquired Mangekyu by killing his own brother, which was very close to him when he was young. Also considering the possibility of Itachi passing on the power to Sasuke, it is intriguing indeed.
Anyway, the plot thickens, so might as well just wait for the next chapters.

Don;t think that Madara is actually lying. Such massacre may be against the THIRD’s principles but bear in mind the other three people - the two advisers and Danzou who handles the ANBU root division. It could have been that Itachi was in the root division. And the principles of these three living people who allegedly knowsd the truth are not in line with the third’s.
And if Madara was lying, why would he tell Sasuke that he killed his friend and brother to obtain EMS

FINNALLY THE TRUTH… all the while itachi was trying to save konoha from the CRUTCHES OF uchiha clan………….16 years ago the kyubii attack konoha was just a disaster…. uchiha madara was not behide it……As uchiha madara begins his story…… it was 80 years ago when the world was in war evrything was restless and war do not cease… there are many clan and two most feared clans was thier own uchiha clan and senju clan….hashirama was the leader of senju and was called as the 1st hokage too….. they was always rivil and any point they will be fighting each other…..condue too matters… uchiha madara took his brothers eyes being him allowing it …. heprotect the name of uchiha and soon became the leader…. After having his brother eyes ,he passed away not afew days later…. senju and uchiha was tired of being rivils and come to a standstill of agreement….. the other uchiha agree but madara the leader dispose tat agreement as he said wats the point after all this i nave token my brothers eye for? wat am i trying to prove? But still madara had no other options to choose from protect the uchihas so he agree wif the senju and there konoha was formed…..but came to a point of
dispute over the leader of kokage….but still hashirama took he place of kokage… To protect the detect of uchiha ..madara oposed hashirama but the otehr uchiha think madara was overdosing himself for power and was very greedy…so they betrayed him and left him alone……uchiha eventually lost and he left the village betrayed by everyone even his clan uchiha……madara just wanted to protect his clan……there comes the kyuubi after afew years
