I was recently asked via email regarding my thoughts on Jiraiya’s fate. The question is: Will Jiraiya be killed?
Currently, I am waiting for the recent manga chapter to be released because the answer to this question might be present on that chapter. However, up to the time of publishing this post, the manga latest chapter is not yet released so, I think, I need to tell you what’s on my head.
First, I really believe that Jiraiya will be killed by either Konan or Pain. But I guessed it will be Pain who can kill Jiraiya.
Remember that on the Naruto Manga chapter 371, Pain instructed Konan to fight Jiraiya while he’s on his way to the fight location. So, I am thinking that Jiraiya, Konan and Pain will meet again face to face. Then Pain who is using a different body than what he used before, will reveal to Jiraiya that he’s one of his three students along with the Fourth Hokage.
While Jiraiya, Konan and Pain are fighting, Konan ang Pain will reveal to their former teacher the reason why they went away from Konoha and join the Akatsuki which was organized by Madara.
Anyway, these are all my thoughts. Let’s just wait for the release of the chapters of naruto manga to confirm if my thoughts are correct.

He might be, it would go with the current plot,mood, and tone of the story. Perfect reason for Naruto to go after Akatsuki even more.

my guess is that Jiraiya won’t get killed. It’s either he will make a good escape if he thinks that he can’t beat Konan and Pein. Or he will be defeated so badly but they will spare his life…
Though defeating Jiraiya will probably give Naruto a better reason of revenge.
But I think Jiraiya is prepared to die anyway…

I hate how the manga is progressing right now. Whether Jiraiya will die or not, i think i don’t really care anymore, because of how much the story and the plots sucked right now.
Hey, don’t get me wrong, i am a Naruto fan, i just hate how the manga is progressing right now. It’s not interesting at all!

unlike REN, i like the way the manga is progressing. One is that it just shows how better Jiraiya is than Oro all throughout. imagine, Oro is just a subordinate or Jiraiya’s previous student? Second, the Akatsuki is being unfolded every chapter. Third is that Naruto’s past is being unfolded one at a time.
I guess you have read the new chapter now.

i don’t think so, coz Jiraiya had an arsenal of techniques. He might be decapitated but it will not cost his life, Tsunade will somehow soften his interactions with his teammate, when this fight is over. A master might be defeated by his student but not at all times. Jiraiya’s been travelling around the world, observing things as nature take its course, and the fact that he won’t die is bcoz those shinobi’s he’s fighting now are the ones he’d meet all along, and he had jutsu of sealing techniques by preserving it in a scroll much like what he did to black fire caused by Itachi’s tsukiyonomi for further study. The great sage prophesied that Jiraiya will be the one to enlighten or somehow taught them to accept the grays, black and white in thier lives. Maybe im wrong but i someone said this line.. the gallant Jiraiya. A tale of a hero in japanese literature.
