Since the start of the Naruto old anime series, I was already wondering why is it that the family name of Naurto is Uzumaki. And if Uzumaki clan was really of Konoha, then why is it that Naruto is a lone Konoha villager with Uzumaki family name.
Well, if you’d read already the Naruto Manga 367, then you already have the knowledge why Naruto is using the family name, Uzumaki.
According to Tsunade, the Fifth Hokage, the real name of the mother of Naruto is Uzumaki Kushina. Kushina was a tomboyish shinobi and really looked like a boy and a former shinobi of the Whirlpool Village. No wonder, Uzumaki Naruto has the whirl abilities.

Yes, Naruto’s dad(4th Hokage) is dead because of his sealing jutsu(an example of it was shown in the battle between the 3rd hokage and Orochimaru). He use the sealing jutsu in order to stop the rampage of the kyuubi(controlled by Uchiha Madara’s Mangekyou Sharingan) on Konoha(leaf village in english version) and sealed the kyuubi to his son, Naruto but I think Naruto is not identified as a Hokage’s son because his father, the 4th Hokage, don’t want Naruto to known as a demon because of the kyuubi but as a hero. As far as I know, Only the legedary sanins and the 3rd hokage knew Naruto’s dad. Jaraiya was also Naruto’s Godfather and also Pain’s mentor was Jaraiya. I suggest to read the manga because it gives more info than the anime full of shits.

i dont think there is a uzumaki clan but naruto mom is dead his father i think he is not dead and change his name to pain

oh well the mystery is probably that Naruto’s mom and father,The 4th hokage was Yodame was in the whirlpool village on a mission and then he fell in love with Kushia Uzumaki. He asked her if she would go back to Konoha with him. This is because the 4th hokage was Kakashi’s sensei that shows the 4th hokage was origianally a Hidden leaf Shinobi. Kushia went back to konoha and then when Naruto was born he seald kyubi in Naruto and then passed away. IDK what happend to kushia

uhmm… Maybe It was kept a mystery because when the kyuubi appeared, Naruto was just born… and maybe they wont believe Yondaime(his father) is his father cuz people think of Naruto as a demon.. Well lets just wait till the manga reaches this chapter.. But still I wonder why he is Uzamaki while his father’s family name is Yondaime…
