You might be wondering why Orochimaru left the Akatsuki, am I right? And if you didn’t watch the episode 25 up to the end part of it, then you miss the answer of this question.
Diedara asked Sasori about it. Since Diedara is just the replacement of Orochimaru in the Akatsuki organization, so he didn’t know the real story of why Orochimaru left the Akatsuki.
Now, according to Master Sasori, Orochimaru created a Soul Transfer Jutsu so that he could take over someone else’s body. He then tried to take Uchiha Itachi’s body but failed

orochimaru just got promoted in evilness.But itachi said that he was MORE evil,and then he said:
-do you like the taste of the toothpaste in your mouth?
and orochimaru was a little scared,holding a little muffin,so he said “no”,and itachi said “I LOVE IT!”,Then he asked:
-Do you like puppies?
-yes
-I KICK THEM!
And orochimaru was like *gasp*.And then itachi said sumtin…horrible
-And that muffin youre eating…I dropped it on the floor!
And orochimaru was,like “NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO”.
Then the “on the next day orochimaru left the akatsiku” thing showed up.

Lol, funny, but we all know the it’s because he couldn’t eb the Sharingan in a plight to take over Itachi’s body…

The true is oroshimaru can’t beat itashi him self. So he see how strong is sharingan. Then he want sharingan. it also because he will be the best ninja. That why he left akatsuki to find someone who have sharingan, and after that than he can take over the body. he thing if he have a sharingan then he will be the best. I’m from norway so i can’t so mush english

Or maybe because he’s a Jinch?riki too. The eight-tailed beast’s name is Yamata no Orochi, which is a snake with 8 heads and 8 tails. And they havent caught it yet. It’s strange.
