One of the main goal of the team Chiyo-Baasama in fighting against Sasori is not to be hit by Sasori’s attack even just a scratch. This is because, Sasori’s attack are all poisoned. Once you will be hit by an attack or even just scratched, then the whole thing will end.

However, in the case of the fight against Sasori, Sakura failed to avoid being scratched by the attack of Sasori. I am not sure if it’s really a failure to avoid or simply she didn’t avoid it to lure Sasori into hitting her Sasori’s finale attack.
