With the release of the Naruto Manga chapter 371, it was revealed that Pain and Kunan who are both Akatsukis knew much about Jiraiya. They even called him as Jiraiya-Sensie.
And because of this I am thinking several things:
- Pain might be a former Konoha shinobi.
- Pain might be one of the former students of Jiraiya.
- Pain can’t be Madara because Madara is much older than Jiraiya.
- Pain might be one of the Fuuma shinobi that Jiraiya meet and eventually became his students.
We are not of course sure about it. Let us wait for the release of the Naruto Managa chapter 372 for more details about this.

hey ppls this just came to mind after watching over naruto
shippuuden episode 16, after the battle team kakashi and team Gai had with
itachi and kisame, they said that the sacrifices only got 30% of the
chakra and were able to make perfect clones right, arter pain said to
sasori thanks to my shapeshifting jutsu the sacrifices were able to
become full akatsuki members so thats how pain created those six bodies of
his, just a though.

FINNALY a FULL PLAN FLAWLESS of itachi’s life…..THE TRUTH BEHIDE ITACHI”S life all along was to kill TOBI (uchiha madara)…. itachi as u all knew in the early ep was a dispeakable man who killed his clan except his little bro and make sasuke hate him for life….. THIS WAS ITACHI’s PLAN…as u all noe sasuke was always weaker then his bro in everything they did and sasuke wasnt able to catch up wif itachi at all… but READ THIS CAREFULLY itachi always POKE his forehead remeber?itachi always learn NEW SKILLs and transfer into sasuke was some jusus he learn because he knew tat he will supass him and kill TOBI…. pain is nagato,,
one of the former students of Jiraiya
he can controll the other body with his rinnegan from the other place and share the same eyes,,
thats why jiraiya can’t kill pain,,
