During the start of the rescue operation of Team Kakashi along with Chiyo-Baasama as one of the members, Sakura-Chan asked Naruto this: “How long has the Akatsuki been after you?”
Curious followers of the Naruto Shippuuden especially those who failed to watch the former Naruto Series will surely ask this question too.
Naruto’s Answer
Naruto answered it with a big; “I don’t know” because he didn’t really know when did the Akatsuki started to target him.
If the last attack to the Konoha Village is still fresh in your mind, I think, you’ll remember how Naruto meet the two Akatsuki namely: Uchiha Itachi and the Sharkman Kisame.

Okay, if that incident has escaped your memory, I will remind you.
During the final day of the Chuunin Exam where the batch of Naruto participated, Orochimaru along with the Sand Village attacked the Konoha Village and tried to fall down the Village by Killing the Third Hokage and using the Shukaku Jinchuuriki.
The Sound Village of Orochimaru and the Sand Village of the Wind Country failed because Orochimaru was defeated by the Third Hokage although the battle led to the death of the Third Hokage. At the same time, the Shukaku controlled by Gaara as the Jinchuuriki was defeated by Naruto with the Giant Frog of Jiraiya-Sama.
After that tragic event, these two Akatsuki visited the Konoha Village hoping that they could find the Kyuubi Jinchuuriki who is Naruto. The Akatsuki instead of finding Naruto meet the Konoha Village’s Juunin at the time led by Kakashi.
By the way, Naruto and these Akatsuki finally met in a hotel where Jiraiya-Sama and Naruto stayed. But they again failed to bring Naruto because Jiraiya came. And that was three years ago.
