From the Naruto Manga 372, the fact that Pain and Konan were part of the team personally trained by Jiraiya has been revealed already. These three students are refugees were coming from the Rain country and were orphaned by the war.
Some of our Manga readers think that one of these kids became Namikaze Minato who was the fourth Hokage and the father of Naruto. However, I can’t believe this speculation from the fact that Namikaze Minato is not a Rain shinobi but of Konoha. Secondly, the fact that Minato became the fourth Hokage is the proof that he was not thinking of revenge, hatred or any thing just like what these three kids were thinking.
So, for sure, Minato was not one of these rain country kids.

I don’t think any of them was Naruto’s father. Tsunade knew Minato well enough for him to have been among those kids, cos like she and Orocimaru left immediately they came. And I’m sure Minato grew up in the village while those 3 never went there.
But one things still bothers me. Why didn’t any one tell Naruto that Hondaime was his father?

How many name do the fourth have…and is he dead yet some poeple say that the fourth isnt dead yet, and also naruto grew up just like the fourth..same hair same smile same everything…^_^!!!..shippuuden ROCK..

His nam is Minato Namikaze, but he was also called yondaime. i don’t really know the reason why.

I don’t believe that the Fourth is dead, think way back to the episode when Oro was fighting the Third and he summoned the Hokages with the forbidden jutsu. the third said that he must stop the last one and he threw ninja stars at it and it just fell to the ground, think when they was fighting the third hit them and did far worse than through ninja stars at them. So here is my theory, when doing the jutsu that the Fourth did, he ended up sealing the good half in Naruto and the bad half in himself there for now we get Pain, He looks like Naruto and he just looks more sinister than him with the piercings and all, what if that is cause of the fox dark chakra. I just wonder if that could be well later folks
