Yes! The story of Naruto is becoming more interesting. But I was a little bit disappointed on how Sasuke reacted on what he heard from Uchiha Madara as shown on the Naruto Manga chapter 402.
Sasuke’s group which is now called “Hawk” has just one aim and that is to destroy “Konoha”. In other words, Sasuke might not be part of the Akatsuki but he’s still will Uchiha Madara on his new mission.
I wonder what Naruto should do to reverse the belief of Sasuke and stop him from destroying the Leaf Village.
I was reading the Naruto Manga chapter 401 which was titled “Illusion” and I am a little bit convinced that what Itachi did to Sasuke was not that to steal Sasuke’s eyes but to let him free from the curse of Orochimaru and eventually activating his own Mangekyu Sharingan.
Uchiha Madara’s story was quite of points like:
- To activate the Mangekyu, an Uchiha should kill the closest person to him.
- To let Sasuke kill Itachi, he needs to let Sasuke hate him.
- For Itachi to free Sasuke from Orochimaru’s cursed seal he needs to fight him till he lost his last chakra and when Orochimaru came out, Itachi can now kill Orochimaru.
But for now, I will not yet close my mind thinking of what ever the real situation is. I am still considering the side that Uchiha Madara might be telling lies to Sasuke to gain his trust.
I almost believe that the Village of Konoha’s authority headed by the Third Hokage ordered the killing of the Uchiha clan’s members. This is based on the story told by Uchiha Madara to Uchiha Sasuke as told by the Naruto Manga chapter 399.
The story about the murder of the Uchihas is well said by Madara. However, just like what I said before, there’s a little contradiction on this story to what Itachi told to Sasuke. If you still remember, Itachi told Sasuke that Madara was his accomplice in killing all.
So, to whom should we believe, Madara or Itachi?
Well… I rather believe Itachi.
And I know, you’ll disagree with me. Anyway, you have points in believing that Madara was not telling lies…. consider these comments posted on my previous post, “Uchiha Madara’s Story“:
Uchiha Madara told Sasuke on the Naruto Manga Chapter 398, the truth about why Uchiha Itachi killed the members of the Uchiha clan. According to him, Itachi killed them as part of Uchiha Itachi’s mission from the top villagers of Konoha.
So, what might be the reason why the 3rd Hokage and other 3 top villagers of Konoha ordered Itachi to kill his fellow clan members?
Actually, it’s hard for me to believe what Madara told Sasuke for the reasons:
- Uchiha Itachi previously told Sasuke that Uchiha Madara was his mentor and at the same time the accomplice in killing the Uchiha clan members.
- One of the principles of the Hidden Village of Konoha is to protect everyone who is important to them. Killing fellow clan members is against to the principles of the Konoha villagers.
That’s why I am thinking that what Uchiha Madara was telling to Sasuke on this chapter of Naruto Manga were all lies. I think, Madara was trying to brainwash Sasuke.
The Naruto Manga chapter 397 which is entitled “The Man Who Knows The Truth” is something more interesting the few previous chapters. Well, it’s actually talking about Uchiha Madara, the accomplice of Uchiha Itachi in killing all the members of the Uchiha Clan.
Uchiha Madara is actually talking lies about Itachi here. I don’t know why he did this. I know he’s not already interested of the eyes of Sasuke because his Mangekyu is already a forever-Mangekyu. But maybe this is his way of letting Sasuke trust him and probably recruit Sasuke to join the fold in Akatsuki.
Lies?
Well, one of the lies that Uchiha Madara told Sasuke is about the Amaterasu. He told Sasuke that Itachi used a Jutsu before he died to Sasuke that would be activated by the use of Uchiha Madara’s own Sharingan, it said, to protect Sasuke from him.
But when I checked again the Naruto Manga 397, from its beginning to the end, I found out that what burned Madara was the Amaterasu of Sasuke’s owned Mangegkyu Sharingan.
Of course, Sasuke didn’t notice it yet. But I know that that Amaterasu jutsu was coming from Sasuke.
Sasuke won the fight against his brother Uchiha Itachi but I wonder if he can kill Uchiha Madara now that he’s on his hands.
You see, Uchiha Madara brought Sasuke to his hideout. Anyway, Tobi whom we believe Uchiha Madara didn’t yet say that he’s Uchiha Madara but just said that he’s the one Sasuke fought along with Diedara and revealed to be a living Uchiha and Sharingan user.
This, I wonder what really is the plan of Tobi to Sasuke. He’s about to tell what he said he knew about Uchiha Itachi. And we didn’t know yet if it’s just Tobi’s way of brainwashing Sasuke or he really want to tell their secret.
Just like what we knew, Itachi wanted to surpass the strength of Madara and we don’t know if Itachi and Madara had fought already before.
I recently read the scanlated Naruto Manga 395 and should be revealing something about Tobi. But it turned to be nothing. Nothing has been revealed but just the Sharingan eye.
Well, we already know that Tobi is a Sharingan user. So, there’s nothing new on this chapter.
Anyway, at the end part it is said to be that Tobi is moving. And I just don’t know where should he go. Would he go to fight Sasuke again in exchange of Sasuke’s eyes? Well, it might be if Tobi is not Madara and is still aiming to own that permanent Mangekyu Sharingan.
Now, I am also wondering what should Sasuke do now that he already killed his older brother. Hmmm.. I remember, that Sasuke’s next target is Madara. But I think, it not the right time to kill Madara. Sasuke I think is not yet capable of killing Madara. So, let’s just wait for the next chapters…
I guess the next chapter will tell us the story on how Sasuke’s team killed Itachi’s partner, the Shark Man.

Such massacre may be against the THIRD’s principles but bear in mind the other three people - the two advisers and Danzou who handles the ANBU root division. It could have been that Itachi was in the root division. And the principles of these three living people who allegedly knows the truth are not in line with the Sandaime’s.And if Madara was lying, why would he tell Sasuke that he killed his friend and brother to obtain EMS and that he confirmed Itachi’s earlier statements that he was Itachi’s accomplice?
April 28th, 2008 at 9:24 pm Lies? I can’t really tell for sure, but in my own opinion, I don’t think that Madara is lying. Like the past chapter, all of the things he told Sasuke before are logical and fits well on the plot. And considering that Danzou is once again connected to this, everything makes sense. Again, it would probably be better to see what happens next. The plot thickens, and we’re right in the middle of it. Hot!
May 13th, 2008 at 10:07 pm Going on what Gilgy says, he has a good point about Danzou. He did give Sai the secret mission to kill Sasuke. My guess is that if Sasuke knew the truth about his clan and why they were massacred he’d turn against Konoha and Danzou knew this!!I don’t think Madara is lying, there’d be no reason too. Why would he go all the way back to the Firsts era. “It’s to in depth.” I do believe he’s trying to get Sasuke on side though.
Sasuke said it himself that he’ll kill anyone involved in the incident. Which means the main plot of this looks like Sasuke joining Akatuski and getting his true revenge against Konoha. Maybe just maybe Sasuke might become the main bad guy. An all out battle with Naruto and Sasuke looks on the cards.
